My voice deserves to be heard because....

What makes me different is that I don't think that I am different from most. I think I am the same-that I just present myself in a way that individuals view as different. I think that I offer something of value & meaning. In each brand that I have built.

I believe finding your voice is when you stop looking around you and start looking your yourself. I believe I found myself when I realized comparison kills creativity.

What does finding your voice mean to you?

I found my voice when I found my why. I believe finding your voice is when you stop looking around you and start looking your yourself. I believe I found myself when I realized comparison kills creativity. I had to learn to love Bree before I could pursue my goals, passions, and dreams. I had to learn self-worth and the true definition of it. Also, realize this is not something that we can get from another human being but its something we must learn to build internally.

Did your upbringing shape who you are today?

I am a strong believer that you a product of your environment. I saw both my parents work very hard. Especially my mother. I saw how much pride she took in her home, entertaining in her home-her garden etc. I believe this gave me my work ethic that I have today.

Describe your journey? What was your defining moment?

It's been a long journey. as mentioned before I had to learn who Bree was first. It's also something that didn't happen overnight. We live in a time where everyone wants everything hella fast. And it just doesn't work that way. My connections took years to build. I was building them even before I knew I wanted to be an Entrepreneur. I believe my defining moments when I realized Purpose > Popularity was the key. I stopped doing things to be the "The Cool Kid" But actually to do it with a purpose. To have a reason behind it....a reason that had substance and brought joy to not only myself but those whom I was providing a service too.

Advice to someone in search of finding their voice in the entrepreneurial, influencer and creative space.

Never compare your beginning with someone's middle. Each person has their season. Patience is key as well as consistency. Also, your follow up game must be strong. Remember rather you eat or don't eat solely depends on you.

Who is_______?

I am Bree a mother of twin boys and wife to a wonderful man by the name of Carlos. He is my partner life as well as business. I am the creative director and founder of The Iman Project + Lavender & Mint Designs. I live by the quote "She designed a life she loved." My husband & I have built our family and our brand off the scripture Act 20:35 that there is more happiness in giving then receiving. The Iman Project + Lavender & Mint Designs is a boutique agency that specializes in Farmhouse Tables, Home Goods, Interior Styling, Fashion & Lifestyle Events. My main goal is to make all things beautiful and create an experience, design or farmhouse table for all, no matter your style, race, creed or background. We focus on bringing you more for less. Our brand is focused on Family, Faith, Food & Farmhouse Tables.

How will you continue to amplify your voice?

I am currently working on "On the Table" Workshops with a Purpose-I offer women empowering workshops that range from floral making, macramé, painting classes water coloring and more and it's all surrounded by women of different culture background races age groups because I just wasn't seeing that when I went out when I went to workshops I would see one race one age group and I'm like this is not women this is not what a workshop should highlight. So I created a workshop that created something different. Created a atmosphere of relaxation & empowerment with diversity. I make sure these are done on our farmhouse tables as well. .I don't want these to be local I want "On the Table workshops with a purpose to be everywhere. Offered in different states & cities ;-)
